A zine is a self published work of original or appropriated texts and images... the product of either a single person or of a very small group

I first discovered Zines in my second year of university, in a project which encouraged us to organically capture the spaces surrounding us (See Industry Blossomed for the Zine we designed.) I loved how the unfussy nature of these publications allowed us to have fun with what myself and the group were producing, removing the pressure to create perfection as we messed around with photocopiers and silk-screen printing.

Since then, I have been becoming more and more invested in their creation, focusing a great number of projects upon their production, constantly exploring for the next inspirational moment!

Using Japanese book-binding practices, you can see me currently boring through holes for the string to go through, a friend patiently sewing it together as I try not to distract them!
